Many of the brick and frame cottages and flats date from the 1870s through the 1890s, when Czech immigrants settled the area and named it after the city of Plzeň. Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

The floors and ceilings in my Pilsen cottage aren't level. Will the TV look crooked?
It's a common issue in houses this old. The mount can be set dead level, or matched to a nearby window frame or ceiling line if that looks better in a room that has settled. Tell the installer which you prefer before the bolts are tightened. Either way, if it ever goes off level later, the lifetime install warranty means we come back and fix it free.
My cottage is long and narrow. Is a full-motion mount worth it so the TV can face the kitchen too?
In a long, narrow layout it often is. A full-motion mount ($100) lets you pull the TV out and swing it toward the kitchen or dining area, then push it back flat when you're done. Because the arm puts more leverage on the wall, it has to be anchored into studs or solid brick, not plaster alone, and that's how we install it.
