TV Mounting in West Garfield Park

A residential neighborhood of greystones and brick two- and three-flats just west of the historic Garfield Park Conservatory. We bring the same professional install here as anywhere else in the city.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for West Garfield Park. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in West Garfield Park

Flats here are usually laid out front to back: living room on the street side, bedrooms along a hallway, kitchen and porch at the rear. Expect plaster on lath for the interior walls, brick for the outside walls, and often a radiator under the front windows. That layout tends to put the TV on a long interior wall, which is good news: those partitions have wood studs to bolt into. If you'd rather use the brick side wall, we switch to masonry anchors and a surface wire run, since solid brick has no hollow space to hide a cable. Newer houses on some blocks are plain drywall.

Just Moved to West Garfield Park?

Moving into a flat usually means TVs in the front room, the primary bedroom, a second bedroom for the kids, and sometimes the kitchen or an enclosed back porch. Empty rooms are the easiest to work in: we can reach every wall, choose the best one in each room, and run cables before the dresser and couch are in place. Scheduling them all together also means one day of having someone in your home instead of several. Tell us the room count when you book, and we'll bring the right mount for each spot (fixed, tilting or full motion).

Shelves, pictures, or furniture assembly during the same visit — $80/hr, billed on site in 1-hour increments. Not included in the install total below.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

There's a radiator right under the spot where I want my TV. Is that okay?
It can work, but steady heat rising into a TV for years isn't ideal. Often the better move is to mount higher with a tilting mount ($50) so the screen clears the warm air, or to use a different wall. We'll look at the room with you and suggest the option that keeps the TV cooler and still comfortable to watch.
I live in one unit of my three-flat and rent out the others. Can you mount TVs in more than one unit on the same visit?
Yes. Each TV is priced the same no matter which unit it's in, and one booking can include up to five TVs, so your own place and a tenant's unit can be done in one appointment. Let us know which units are involved and make sure someone can let us into each one.
Do you install TVs in West Garfield Park?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout West Garfield Park and the rest of West Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in West Garfield Park?
TV mounting is $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with a lifetime warranty on every install. For 75″ and up, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. The wall doesn't change the price except tile (+$50), and optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount or in-wall wire concealment are priced separately.
