TV Mounting in Near West Side

Home to UIC, the United Center, and the Taylor Street Little Italy corridor, this neighborhood mixes student housing, rehabbed lofts, and new mid-rise construction. We're comfortable with all of it.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for Near West Side. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Near West Side

In the West Loop and Fulton Market, many homes are former warehouses and industrial buildings turned into lofts: brick outer walls, concrete or heavy timber columns, exposed ductwork and tall ceilings. Around them are newer mid-rise and high-rise towers, plus townhomes and condos in University Village near UIC. Each type changes the plan. Brick gets masonry anchors and a surface wire run. A drywall partition in a loft or tower is often built on metal studs, which need anchors made for steel. And with tall ceilings, the common mistake is mounting too high, so we set screen height for where you'll actually sit.

Just Moved to Near West Side?

Loft living is open plan, and that changes the move-in math. The main room may have only one or two full-height walls, the bedroom may sit behind a partial wall or glass, and the office could be a corner by the windows. Mapping all the TVs on day one, before the sofa, shelving and rugs define the space, avoids a TV wall that doesn't line up with where the furniture ended up. It also means one building check-in, one COI if management asks for it, and one appointment. Add the living area, bedroom, office and any guest room to a single booking.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

Can you mount a TV on the exposed brick in my West Loop loft and still keep it looking clean?
Yes. There's no surcharge for brick, and we anchor into solid brick with hardware rated for the TV. What brick won't allow is fishing cables inside it, so the choices are a slim external raceway ($35) along the wall, or mounting on a nearby drywall wall where in-wall concealment ($60) is possible. On a brick wall, it also helps to place the TV close to an existing outlet.
My new condo in the West Loop has metal studs instead of wood. Will a big TV hold?
Yes, and metal studs don't add anything to the price. A light-gauge steel stud won't hold lag bolts the way wood does, so we use heavy-duty toggle anchors made for steel studs and spread the load across more than one stud where the wall allows. For TVs 75″ and up, plan on someone helping lift, or add a second installer for $75.
Do you install TVs in Near West Side?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Near West Side and the rest of West Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in Near West Side?

For 75″ and up, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit.
