TV Mounting in West Ridge

West Ridge's Devon Avenue corridor is one of the most culturally rich strips in Chicago, and the housing behind it ranges from brick bungalows to larger single-family homes. We're used to older wiring and plaster walls throughout the neighborhood.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for West Ridge. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in West Ridge

West Ridge filled in over several decades, roughly the 1920s through the 1960s, so the houses run from brick bungalows and Georgians to mid-century ranches, with brick apartment and condo buildings mixed in. That spread shows up inside the walls. Older homes tend to have plaster over wood lath, while many post-war houses used plaster over gypsum board or were redone in drywall later. Brick fireplaces and finished basements with paneled walls come up often. We confirm the framing before drilling on any of them, because each wall type holds a screw differently.

Just Moved to West Ridge?

Moved into West Ridge recently? The house probably has more TV spots than you've thought about yet: the front living room, a den or family room, the primary bedroom, and quite often a finished basement that runs most of the length of the house. Mounting all of them in one visit means one day of drilling, and any in-wall wiring gets done before the bookcases go up against those walls or the basement gets repainted. Pick the rooms, then send them through the booking form together (it takes up to 5 TVs).

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

My West Ridge basement has wood paneling. Can a TV be mounted on it?
Yes. Paneling is thin, so it's never what holds the TV. Where there are studs behind it, we mount through the panel into the framing. Where it's fastened over the foundation wall, we anchor into the concrete behind it. Concrete is included in the base price, the same as any other wall except tile.
My West Ridge house is brick on the outside. Can the TV wires still be hidden?
Usually. Most interior walls in these homes are framed, so a $60 in-wall run works on them. Outside walls are trickier, since the plaster may sit directly on the brick with little or no cavity behind it. We'll check the wall you have in mind, and if in-wall isn't practical there, a $35 raceway strip is the fallback.
Do you install TVs in West Ridge?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout West Ridge and the rest of Far North Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in West Ridge?
TV mounting is $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with a lifetime warranty on every install. For 75″ and up, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. The wall doesn't change the price except tile (+$50), and optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount or in-wall wire concealment are priced separately.
Is there a trip fee for West Ridge?
