TV Mounting in Lincoln Square

Lincoln Square's German heritage lives on around Giddings Plaza, surrounded by classic bungalows, vintage two-flats, and walk-up apartments. It's a neighborhood full of character — and character walls — and we handle both well.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for Lincoln Square. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Lincoln Square

Lincoln Square holds more than its well-known bungalows. The Ravenswood area, which started as a railroad suburb in the 1800s, still has Victorian-era frame houses, and plenty of homes across the neighborhood have been gut-rehabbed or given a second-story addition. So one house can have original plaster in the front rooms and new drywall in the back addition. We work out which wall is which before drilling: studs located behind plaster, standard stud mounting on new drywall, masonry anchors where brick is exposed. In-wall wiring is usually easiest on the newer drywall sections.

Just Moved to Lincoln Square?

Buying a Lincoln Square two-flat or bungalow usually comes with a punch list, and the TVs belong near the top, ahead of the art, the bookshelves and the fresh paint. Count the rooms: the front room, the back family room that many rehabs add, the primary bedroom, a finished basement, maybe a back porch. If you're converting a two-flat into a single-family home, that's the moment to run wires inside the walls, while the work is already underway. One appointment can cover the whole list, so put every TV on the same booking.

Shelves, pictures, or furniture assembly during the same visit — $80/hr, billed on site in 1-hour increments. Not included in the install total below.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

My Lincoln Square house is half original plaster, half new drywall. Can you still hide the wires?
Usually, yes. On new drywall, a $60 in-wall run is straightforward. Older plaster walls can take in-wall wiring in many cases too, though blocking or old framing inside the wall sometimes forces a different route. If in-wall isn't practical on the wall you picked, a $35 raceway strip is the fallback. We'll tell you which applies before we cut anything.
Wi-Fi barely reaches the back of our Lincoln Square two-flat. Can you fix that during the TV visit?
Yes. Plaster and brick walls are hard on Wi-Fi, which is why a single router often leaves the back rooms or the basement weak in older two-flats. We install Ubiquiti whole-home Wi-Fi, with access points placed where the house needs them, and it can be done on the same visit as your TV mounting. A streaming TV works much better with a solid signal.
Do you install TVs in Lincoln Square?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Lincoln Square and the rest of Far North Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in Lincoln Square?
TV mounting is $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with a lifetime warranty on every install. For 75″ and up, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. The wall doesn't change the price except tile (+$50), and optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount or in-wall wire concealment are priced separately.
Is there a trip fee for Lincoln Square?
