Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Can you mount a small TV in my Jefferson Park kitchen? The wall I want is tiled.
Yes. Tile is the one wall type with a surcharge, $50 per TV, on top of the normal mounting price. If there's a painted section of wall near the tile that works just as well for viewing, there's no surcharge there. Tell us about the tile when you book so we come ready for it.

The TV can go above it: we use anchors rated for brick, and brick is included in the base price. Hiding the wires is the harder part. Running them inside a solid brick chimney usually isn't practical, so a $35 raceway strip is the common answer. If the chimney wall is framed and covered in drywall instead, a $60 in-wall run is often possible.
