TV Mounting in Edison Park

Chicago's northwesternmost neighborhood feels almost suburban, with tree-lined streets of brick bungalows and Cape Cods near the Metra line. The same published prices apply here as anywhere else in the city, starting at $100.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for Edison Park. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Edison Park

Much of Edison Park's housing dates from the 1920s through the 1950s, with new builds going up where an older house came down. Upstairs bedrooms in story-and-a-half homes have sloped ceilings and short knee walls, so a TV there usually goes on the full-height gable wall or on a full motion mount that can angle toward the bed. The older homes have plaster. New construction is drywall over wood studs, which makes in-wall wiring simple. Basements are common, and bare foundation walls take concrete anchors instead of stud screws.

Just Moved to Edison Park?

If you just bought in Edison Park, the first round of TV mounting often covers most of the house: the family room, a living room fireplace wall, the primary bedroom, the basement rec room, and a kids' bedroom upstairs. Doing it all in one visit means the basement and upstairs wiring happen on the same day, before carpet, shelving and the sectional fill those rooms. It also means only one afternoon of moving things away from walls. Book every TV together; the form holds up to five.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

Can a TV go in the upstairs bedroom of my Edison Park Cape Cod with the slanted ceiling?
Usually. The gable end wall is often the best spot, since it runs full height. If the TV has to go on a short knee wall, a full motion mount (+$100) lets you tilt and turn it toward the bed. Knee walls are sometimes framed differently from the main walls, so we confirm what's behind the drywall or plaster before drilling.
Our Edison Park basement still has bare concrete walls. Is mounting there extra?
No. Concrete and brick foundation walls are included in the base price; tile is the only wall with a surcharge ($50 per TV). On bare foundation walls we use anchors rated for concrete. Wires can't go inside solid concrete, so a $35 raceway strip is the usual way to tidy them. Finishing the basement soon? Mounting after the drywall goes up lets you hide them in-wall.
Do you install TVs in Edison Park?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Edison Park and the rest of Far North Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in Edison Park?
