TV Mounting in Edgewater

A lakefront community that includes Andersonville's Swedish-heritage business strip along Clark Street, alongside high-rises and vintage greystones closer to the water. Older buildings with tricky walls are our specialty here.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for Edgewater. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Edgewater

Edgewater splits into a few distinct kinds of housing. Lakewood Balmoral and Edgewater Glen are blocks of large single-family homes from around the turn of the last century, with tall plaster walls, wood trim and fireplaces. Between Broadway and Sheridan, Kenmore and Winthrop avenues are lined with apartment and condo buildings from many decades. Old houses often don't have studs on a neat 16″ spacing, so we locate each one rather than measuring off the first. Fireplace walls and some exterior walls are brick behind the plaster and take masonry anchors.

Just Moved to Edgewater?

Edgewater move-ins tend to go one of two ways: a condo with a reserved elevator, or a house with several floors to fill. In a condo, book the TV visit close to move-in, while the management office already has your file and can note a contractor with a COI (available on request). In a Lakewood Balmoral or Edgewater Glen house, think living room, a den or library, the primary bedroom, a top-floor guest room and the basement. One visit for all of the TVs beats five separate ones. Put them all on a single booking.

Shelves, pictures, or furniture assembly during the same visit — $80/hr, billed on site in 1-hour increments. Not included in the install total below.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Text me a reminder the day before my appointment (msg & data rates may apply, reply STOP to opt out). See our Privacy Policy. Optional — you'll still be booked either way.

Frequently Asked

My Edgewater Glen house has tall ceilings. How high should the TV go?
Lower than the wall suggests. Tall ceilings tempt people to mount high, but the screen should sit near where your eyes land when you're seated. We'll mark the height with you before drilling. If the only good wall is above the mantel, a MantelMount pull-down mount (we're an authorized dealer) lets you lower the TV for watching and raise it back afterward.
My Edgewater condo building wants a certificate of insurance from contractors. Can you provide one?
Yes. We're insured, and a COI is available on request. Many condo buildings along Sheridan Road and elsewhere ask for one before any work starts. Find out from your management office exactly what name and address they want listed, and send that along when you book so the certificate is ready before install day.
Do you install TVs in Edgewater?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Edgewater and the rest of Far North Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in Edgewater?
TV mounting is $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with a lifetime warranty on every install. For 75″ and up, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. The wall doesn't change the price except tile (+$50), and optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount or in-wall wire concealment are priced separately.
Is there a trip fee for Edgewater?
No. Our published prices are the same everywhere we serve in Chicago, including Edgewater — no trip charges, no hidden fees.
