TV Mounting in Montclare

One of the city's smallest community areas, tucked against the Elmwood Park border and full of tidy brick bungalows. We're in and out of Montclare fast — small neighborhood, same big-city service.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for Montclare. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Montclare

Montclare is mostly brick. Alongside the bungalows you'll find Georgians, two-flats and small apartment buildings, most of them built before 1960. Older homes have plaster walls and often radiators under the front windows, while houses that have been redone are more likely to be drywall. Many attics have been finished into bedrooms with sloped ceilings and short knee walls, which limits where a TV can hang. Basements usually have block or poured concrete walls. We arrive with wood-stud and masonry hardware either way and decide once we've checked the wall.

Just Moved to Montclare?

Settling into a Montclare home usually means a front room, two or three bedrooms, maybe an attic bedroom and a basement rec room. If you've moved here from an apartment, this may be the first time the TVs come off their stands and go on the wall. Doing them all on one visit keeps the dust and drilling to a single day, handles the cords the same way in every room, and gets the job done before pictures and family photos go up. When you book, add every TV you're planning, up to five.

Shelves, pictures, or furniture assembly during the same visit — $80/hr, billed on site in 1-hour increments. Not included in the install total below.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

The upstairs bedroom in our Montclare bungalow has a sloped ceiling. Is there anywhere to put a TV?
Usually, yes. The flat gable wall at the end of the room is often the best choice, and a short knee wall can work for a smaller TV if it sits at a comfortable height from the bed. A tilting mount helps when the TV has to go a little high. We check the framing up there first, since attic conversions vary a lot.
My front room has radiators under the windows and on the long wall. Can a TV go above one?
It can, but it's not ideal. Heat rising off a radiator isn't good for electronics, so check your TV's manual for its operating limits. Often there's a stretch of wall without a radiator, and a full-motion mount (+$100) lets you swing the screen toward the seating from a spot away from the heat. On site, we can try a few spots with you and pick one.
Do you install TVs in Montclare?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Montclare and the rest of Northwest Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in Montclare?

For 75″ and up, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. The wall doesn't change the price except tile (+$50), and optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount or in-wall wire concealment are priced separately.
