TV Mounting in Avondale

Historically the heart of Chicago's Polish community along Milwaukee Avenue, Avondale is filled with brick two-flats and bungalows that back up right against increasingly trendy Logan Square. We know the older wall construction well.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no trip fee for Avondale. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Avondale

The side streets around St. Hyacinth Basilica and off Belmont are packed with houses on narrow lots: frame cottages, raised-basement homes with a garden unit below, and flats with enclosed back porches. Plaster is the norm, but rehabs have added drywall, so it's common to find both in one house. Basement walls are usually brick or poured concrete, which take masonry anchors instead of lag bolts. Newer condo buildings near the Belmont Blue Line stop are drywall over wood or metal studs. Metal studs need toggles made for them, and we bring those along with everything else.

Just Moved to Avondale?

Buying in Avondale often means taking on more than one living space at a time: your own unit, a garden apartment or finished basement, and maybe an enclosed back porch you plan to use as a sunroom. Each of those can take a TV, along with the bedrooms. Get them all mounted in one appointment and the wire runs for the whole building get planned together instead of piecemeal. It also wraps up the drilling before you've painted, unpacked and hung anything. Add every TV to a single booking (the form takes up to five) and we'll cover the house top to bottom.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

Can you mount a TV on the basement wall in our garden unit? It looks like brick under the paint.
Yes. Painted brick and concrete foundation walls are common in Avondale garden units, and we mount on them with anchors rated for masonry. There's no extra charge for brick or concrete. If the wall is damp or crumbling in spots, we'll point it out before drilling and pick a section that's solid.
Our older house doesn't have an outlet where we want the living room TV. Can you add one?
Yes. A new outlet behind the TV is $250, and it means no cord hanging down the wall or running to the nearest baseboard outlet. Pair it with in-wall wire concealment ($60) for the HDMI and other cables and the wall looks clean. In plaster homes we take extra care cutting the openings so the surrounding plaster stays intact.
Do you install TVs in Avondale?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Avondale and the rest of North Side, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
How much does TV mounting cost in Avondale?
