TV Mounting in Norridge

Home to Harlem Irving Plaza, one of the busiest shopping centers on the Northwest Side, surrounded by tidy brick bungalows and ranch homes. We're in Norridge all the time — same published prices from $100, zero trip fee.

Same published prices as everywhere else we serve: $100 for TVs up to 55″, $125 for 56″–74″ and $150 for 75″ and up, with mounting hardware included and no suburban premium for Norridge. Bigger TVs take more care to lift and level, so we price in three simple size steps, published up front. The wall still doesn't change the price, except tile (+$50). On a 75″ or larger TV, lend a hand with the lift at no charge, or we bring a second installer for +$75 per visit. Every install carries our lifetime warranty — if a TV we mounted ever comes loose, sags or goes off level, we come back and fix it free — and we're insured. Optional add-ons like a tilting or full-motion mount, in-wall wire concealment, or soundbar mounting are available if you want them.

Homes in Norridge

Most of Norridge was built out after World War II, so the typical house is a brick ranch, raised ranch or Georgian from the 1950s or 60s. Interior walls from that era are usually plaster over gypsum lath or early drywall, and both hold a mount well once the studs are found and confirmed with a small test hole behind where the TV will hang. Exterior walls have brick behind them, which takes masonry anchors. Raised ranches put the family room partly below grade, often with concrete block behind the finished wall, so we check what's back there before drilling.

Just Moved to Norridge?

Just got the keys in Norridge? In a ranch, the living room wall and the primary bedroom are the obvious first two TVs. The basement rec room is usually the third, and many households add one in a kid's room and one in the kitchen or out on the patio. Doing all five in one visit means one appointment and one day of drilling, and if you want the wires hidden, the walls get opened once instead of every time you buy another TV. With the couch and dressers not in yet, every wall is easy to reach. List them all on one booking; it holds up to 5 TVs.

Is Any Of This Going On Tile?

Tile is the one wall that costs extra — $50 per TV. It destroys drill bits, and it's the only surcharge we have. Plaster, brick and metal studs are all normal Chicago walls and stay included.

Frequently Asked

My Norridge raised ranch has a lower-level family room. Can a TV go on that wall?
Usually, yes. Those lower walls are often drywall or wood paneling on furring strips over concrete block or a poured foundation. We find out which before drilling, then either anchor into the masonry with hardware rated for it or fasten to solid framing. With paneling, we make sure the mount reaches something solid behind it, not just the panel.
The walls in my 1950s Norridge house are plaster. Can the wires still go inside the wall?
In most cases, yes. We cut two small openings, one behind the TV and one lower on the wall, and fish the cables between them. Plaster cracks if it's cut roughly, so we score it first and cut slowly. If a horizontal fire block sits in the stud bay, we drill through it or find another path. In-wall concealment is $60 per TV.
Do you install TVs in Norridge?
Yes — we install and mount TVs throughout Norridge and the surrounding area, usually with same-day or next-day availability.
